The average set of printed return address labels will come on labels that are one and a half inches in height and one and three quarter inches in length. These are not the smallest return address labels available, but they are the most common. The nice thing about return addresses and the post office is that they aren't considered for mail sorting, so you can be as creative as you want with fonts, lettering, colors and pictures. Now, if you'll be using address labels in addition to return address ones, you'll want to consider the standard one inch by four inch or two inch by four inch, and use plain, easy to read fonts with black ink.
